Sterling silver plaque wraps around the barrel, engraved with a map representing the tactics employed by the great general at Normandy. Beneath the map appear the words "Patton's Third Army." On the opposite side of the pen there is a low-relief image of a tank.
The pen's cap, made of a special dark olive green resin, is set with four general stars in sterling silver. The cap band is engraved "Patton." Two-tone 18k gold  nib with the Krone logo. At the base of the clip in enamel is the epaulette of the Seventh Army, which Patton wore on his uniform during the Sicily campaign. Beneath this there's a tiny oval that encases a tiny fragment of the real epaulette worn by the great man himself.

Nicolaus Copernicus is the Anglicized name of Polish astronomer Nikolaj Kopernik (1473-1543). After attending university in Krakow, he spent from 1496 through 1504 in Italy, where he studied mathematics, astronomy, law, and medicine in Bologna, Padua, and Ferrara.
In 1543, after many years of study and just a short time before his death, he published "De revolutionibus orbium coelestium" (On the revolutions of the celestial orbs), in which he rejected Ptolemy's "geocentric" theory and detailed his "heliocentric" theory - that is, that in the space of a year Earth orbits once around the Sun and that in a day it rotates once around its own axis. Copernicus likewise demonstrated that all the planets orbit around the Sun and that Earth's axis of rotation has a conical motion.
Copernicus also took part in the Lateran Council's calendar reform in 1517 and devised the most innovative monetary reforms of the 16th century, the principles of which are still valid today.
